Autumn sales season coming marketing charm continues to emerge
As the autumn season approaches in China Textile City, the market is entering its peak sales period. Transaction volumes are gradually rising, and the marketing appeal is becoming more evident. Both thick and thin fabrics, including long-staple fiber textiles and interactive fabrics, are experiencing increased trading activity. Sales of apparel fabrics, home décor textiles, curtain fabrics, bed linens, and textile accessories are all expanding steadily, with a clear upward trend in sales performance across the autumn market.
In recent days, the number of South-North buyers entering the market has noticeably increased. More traders are coming to request samples and quotations, and an increasing number of sales representatives from garment manufacturers, foreign trade companies, and international partners are placing orders. Spot transactions are robust, with a continuous flow of various apparel and home textile fabrics being traded.
Curtain fabrics, jacquard, and printed fabrics have seen strong demand, with both 280cm and 150cm widths in high circulation. Some business outlets started contacting distributors early in the morning, and even late into the evening, they were still waiting for goods to be delivered. Transfer-printed curtain fabrics, jacquard-printed curtain fabrics, and jacquard-embroidered curtain fabrics, along with long-fiber FDY 100D–150D, 200D–250D (DTY + FDY) composite yarns, and FDY triangular light network yarns, are mostly sold directly from factories. Creative fabric designs are gaining significant market traction.
Recent market trends show that T/R 65/35 polyester-viscose blends and T/R 80/20 polyester-viscose yarns are widely used in irrigation and calendaring processes to produce imitation wool suits and trousers. These fabrics are available in different ratios, such as 32S and 40S, with variations like single serge, double serge, satin-back serge, toothpick serge, and more. Each type is selling well, with some orders growing in size, leading to delays in delivery. Many large orders have exceeded their expected deadlines, causing ongoing shipment postponements.
In recent weeks, fall and winter cotton-filled fabrics, casual cotton fabrics, and T/C polyester-cotton denim have seen both small and medium-sized spot transactions as well as larger volume orders. Some shops and factory-style textile companies are securing large shipments, with some taking off in bulk. Fabrics such as spray T/R, four-way woven T/R, yang sticky yarn four-shell, polyester-spandex four-shell, jacquard chiffon, jacquard velvet, Jinmian crepe, Jin cotton enzyme-washed cloth, knitted nylon flocking, cashmere mesh flannel, lace hot-melt, water-melt embroidery, and others are in high demand. Garment manufacturers and foreign trade companies are placing more orders, pushing the transaction volume higher.
Currently, production companies are extremely busy, and order lists remain crowded. Both thick and thin apparel fabrics and home textiles continue to face stock shortages, with supply gaps occurring frequently across various staple fiber categories. Order delivery delays persist, and some companies are hesitant to accept new orders due to the inability to meet deadlines. A sudden shortage of popular fabrics has become a common issue during this autumn season.
Due to power shortages in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, labor shortages, and other factors, weaving factories are struggling with production capacity. The traditional spot market still lacks sufficient supply, which has somewhat restrained the growth of autumn market turnover. Insufficient production and shipping capacity, combined with energy-saving and emission reduction measures that have phased out outdated production lines, have limited dyeing and printing capabilities, leading to further delays in large orders. Daily sales increases are still not enough to meet the rising demand.
Some shop-based and factory-style textile companies, as well as large-scale operating outlets, are experiencing active orders and deliveries of various staple fibers. With a relatively large number of orders, these businesses are maintaining a strong marketing advantage.
