Production and sales are booming

In the first half of this year, the total industrial output value of textile enterprises above designated size was 2,502.237 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 30.03%. The total industrial output value of the major sub-sectors performed well overall, and both growth rates showed double-digit growth. Among them, the highest growth rate of total industrial output was in the hemp spinning industry, which was 43.04%; the second highest was in the chemical fiber industry, which was a year-on-year increase of 36.32%; the cotton spinning industry followed, and the growth rate of the total industrial output value reached 31.46%; The lowest growth rate of total industrial output value in the sub-sector was printing and dyeing industry, which was 19.42%.

In the first half of this year, the textile enterprises above designated size achieved a sales value of 244.157 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 30.03%. The sales growth rate of each major sub-sector achieved a speed increase of more than 20%, and the growth rate was similar to the industrial output value. The highest growth rate was in the hemp industry, which was a year-on-year increase of 43.04%; the chemical fiber industry ranked second, an increase of 34.92% year-on-year; the textile machinery industry followed, ranking third, an increase of 32.14% year-on-year; sales in various sub-sectors The lowest growth rate was in the printing and dyeing industry, which was 20.04%.

In the first half of the year, the ratio of production to sales of textile enterprises above designated size reached 97.59%, which was basically the same as that of the same period of last year and a slight increase of 0.03%. From a regional point of view, in the first half of the year, the gross output value and sales value of the textile industry in the central and western regions of China increased significantly. The gross industrial output value of the central region increased by 49.65% year-on-year, the western region increased by 39.80% year-on-year, and the eastern region grew by 28.49% year-on-year. Although the growth rate in the eastern region is not as fast as in the central and western regions, the total amount is still the largest. It can also be seen from the completion of the industrial output value that the gradient transfer in the textile industry is underway.

The sales value of the central region increased by 49.12% year-on-year, the western region increased by 38.79% year-on-year, and the eastern region grew by 28.57% year-on-year.

In the first half of the year, the industry realized a total profit of 122.151 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 41.25%, which is at a relatively good historical level. In the first half of 2011, all sub-sectors have played a positive role in the growth of profits across the industry. Cotton spinning and garment industries played the most prominent role in driving the industry's profit growth by 16.34 percentage points and 10.93 percentage points respectively. The chemical fiber industry boosted 7.20 percentage points, ranking third. Printing and dyeing machines had the lowest positive pulling power, only 0.77 percentage points and 0.38 percentage points.

In the first half of the year, the profit rate of the textile industry (above-scale enterprises) was 5.78%, an increase of 0.46 percentage points year-on-year; the textile machinery industry had the highest profit margin of 7.40%; the garment industry profit margin was 6.33%. The industry with the largest increase was Hemp Industries, which increased its profit margin by 1.59 percentage points year-on-year. Printing and dyeing is the only industry in the sub-industry where profit margins have declined, down 0.16 percentage points year-on-year.

In the first half of the year, the main business income of the textile industry increased significantly. A total of 2,421,149 million yuan in main business income was realized, an increase of 30.50% over the same period of last year. The growth rate of the main business income of the hemp spinning industry in various sub-sectors was the fastest, reaching 40.99% year-on-year; the year-on-year growth rate of the chemical fiber industry was only 35% higher than that of hemp spinning; the textile machinery industry ranked third, up 34.58% year-on-year. The main reason for the significant increase in main business income was the substantial increase in the cost of main operations. Since the beginning of this year, the cost of main business of enterprises above designated size has increased by 30.50%.

Hemp industry's fastest increase in production efficiency

In the first half of this year, the labor productivity of the textile industry (above-scale enterprises) (according to the current value of industrial output value) was 503,900 yuan/person, which was 21.46% higher than the same period of last year. Among the sub-sectors, labor productivity in the three sub-sectors of chemical fiber, textile machinery and wool textiles ranks in the top three, reaching 1.437 million yuan/person, 751,600 yuan/person and 666,300 yuan/person, respectively, and the lowest labor productivity in the apparel industry. It is 337,700 yuan/person. The industry with the fastest year-on-year growth rate was the hemp industry, which was a year-on-year increase of 29.59%; followed by the chemical fiber industry, which was a year-on-year increase of 27.23%; the cotton spinning industry ranked third, a year-on-year increase of 23.18%.

In addition, the efficiency of asset utilization across the industry has improved. In the first half of 2011, the total asset turnover rate of the textile industry was 1.61 times per year, an acceleration of 8.33% over the same period of the previous year. The turnover rate of the total assets of the three sub-sectors of clothing, finished products and cotton spinning ranked first, 1.85 times/year, 1.77 times/year, and 1.69 times/year respectively. Another manifestation of continuous improvement in production efficiency is the decline in three fees. The fastest decline in the proportion of three fees in all sub-sectors was the apparel industry, which fell by 0.34 percentage points.
